This year, classes in Year 3, 4 and 5 took part in a real life mathematics project.

We wanted to see how much mathematics is used in everyday life without us realising. So we all got together to host a pizza party for our parents and carers! To begin with, we visited Frankie and Benny's to see what a pizza party would be like and then we planned our own.

We sent home a letter and then collected the data on everybody's favourite toppings and created graphs. We created posters to show how much mathematics is linked to real life and realised how important it is!

Then we made all the pizzas and invited our guests to come and eat them! Everyone had a great time and we were all surprised at just how much maths goes on everyday without us even thinking about it!
