Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet ticket Competition

As part of Middlesbrough Councils ongoing regeneration programme, a brand new state of the art eco-friendly Grade A office facility is currently being developed in Centre Square. The building is an exciting part of the redevelopment and a focal point of Middlesbrough. As such we are inviting schools to contribute to aspects which represent what ‘Middlesbrough Means Today’ to be interned into a time capsule buried within the foundations of the building. Your school is invited to suggest one item that you feel best represents your school. At a later date schools will be invited to place their items in the capsule before observing the internship in Centre Square.

After speaking to some members of staff, we decided it would be a good idea to chose something related to our work with the Royal Shakespeare Company. The school council decided to run a competition to design our Romeo and Juliet show ticket (which we will perform in February). The winning ticket entry will not only be placed in the time capsule but will also be printed and distributed as the ticket for our show!

Winner - Imani Taha, Class 19.
